Morning Worship
Welcome
*Call to Worship
Our hearts are ready, O Lord,
our hearts are ready!
We will sing and make melody!
We will awaken the dawn!
We will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples,
we will sing your praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens,
and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
(based on Psalm 108:1-4)
Let us worship God.

Call to Confession
Prayer of Confession
Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, and what our hearts can no longer bear. Set us free from a past that we cannot change; open us to a future in which we can be changed; and grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image; through Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Friends, hear the Good News! Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that we are forgiven, and live in peace. Amen.
*Passing of the Peace
As God has given us peace through Christ, let us pass the peace of Christ to each other.
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.

The Lord be with you
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts
We lift them up unto the Lord
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God
It is right to give God thanks and praise
Great and wonderful are your deeds, O God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O Ruler of the ages. We give you thanks, for you have created all things, and by your will they exist. You have delivered your people from bondage, and you have given to us Jesus Christ, Lamb of God, Savior of the world, who has won for us the victory over sin and death and all evil. Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with the heavenly choirs and with all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of your name:
Glory to you, O Christ, for you departed from your heavenly throne to tabernacle among us, showing us what it is to be truly human. You healed the sick and ate with the outcasts. You multiplied the fish and the loaves and you taught about God’s coming reign. You were slain, and by your blood you ransomed for God people of every tribe, tongue, race and nation. You have made us a people to serve our God. Great is the mystery of faith:
Spirit of God, touch our lives deeply, and make us truly yours; and bless these gifts of bread and the fruit of the vine. O living Christ, bright morning star of this darkened world, come and be our guest. Name us, mark us, and claim us as your own. Free us from bondage to the powers of this world. Glory be to you! Amen.
