Morning Worship
Welcome
*Call to Worship
O God our Savior, you take care of the earth and water it,
you greatly enrich it; your river is full of living water.
Give thanks to the Lord for sustaining the earth with refreshing water.
O God of plenty, you water the earth's fields abundantly, settling their ridges, softening the soil with showers, and blessing their growth. You provide the people with grain, because you have prepared the earth for new life.
Give thanks to the Lord for food to nourish our bodies.
오 창조주 하나님! 당신은 이 시간들을 당신의 선하심으로 면류관을 씌우셨고, 당신의 길들은 풍요함으로 넘치나이다. O God of all creation, you crown the year with your goodness; your paths overflow with richness.
이 땅에 풍요로움을 인하여 주님을 찬양합니다.
Praise the Lord for the bounty of our land.
O God of joy, the pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills are wrapped in joy, the meadows clothe themselves with flocks, and the valleys are blanketed with grain. They shout and sing together for joy.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Amen.

Call to Confession
God desires us to become the true body of Christ and to love one another. We seek to remove all the barriers that keep us from that love. Come now to confess all that separates us from others and from God.
Prayer of Confession
God of mercy, Forgive us when our hearts become calloused to the poor.
Forgive us for averting our eyes, closing our ears and ignoring those who need our help. Forgive our arrogance when we make assumptions about those who are poor, without even hearing their story. Forgive us when we forget the stranger, refuse to feed the hungry, or neglect the poor child. Put within us your spirit of compassion so we might meet the needs of the poor in Jesus' name. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
God knows our every weakness and still God loves and values us, forgives what is past through Christ, and the Spirit calls us and guides us in new discipleship. Live in the promise of this amazing grace. Amen.
*Passing of the Peace
At this time it is our custom to share the peace of Christ. In addition to sharing the peace of Christ with those near us in the pews, today we share peace with those sisters and brothers beyond these walls by placing our offering of canned goods and advocacy letters in these baskets. The peace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
And also with you.

Invitation to the Lord’s Supper
For all who are thirsty, here we find living water.
For all who are hungry, here is the bread of heaven.
Why do we spend ourselves on that which does not nourish?
Why do we pay for that which fails to satisfy?
This is the Lord ’s Table, made ready for those who love him,
and for all who want to love him more.
Here, without money and without price,
We rejoice in the presence of the Living Christ.
The Great Prayer of Thanksgiving
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Blessed are you, strong and faithful God. All your works, the height and the depth, echo the silent music of your praise. In the beginning your Word summoned light, night withdrew and creation dawned. As ages passed unseen, waters gathered upon the face of the earth, and by your goodness, life appeared.
When times had at last ripened and the earth grown full in abundance, you created in your image, man and woman, the stewards of all creation. You gave us breath and speech, that all the living might find a voice to sing your praise.
Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with choirs of angels, and with all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of your name; Holy is the Lord.
All Holy God, how wonderful are your works! When we scarred the world with our sin you entered into covenant to renew creation. You embraced a people as your own, and filled them with longing for peace that would last, and for a justice that would never fail.
From among them you raised up Jesus, your Son, the living bread in whom the ancient hungers are satisfied. He healed the sick, though he himself would suffer. He offered life to sinners, though death would hunt him down. But with love stronger than death he opened wide his arms, and surrendered his spirit.
Gracious God, we offer you our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; we commemorate Jesus your Son, whom death could not bind, for you raised him up in the Spirit of holiness, and exalted him as Lord of all creation.
Great is the mystery of faith:
Eternal God, let your Holy Spirit move in power over us, and over these earthly gifts of bread and wine, that they may be communion in the body and blood of Jesus Christ that we may become one in him, and with all those in every place who belong to him in Spirit and in Truth. When he comes at last in glory, may we be found watchful in prayer, strong in truth and love, and faithful in the breaking of the bread. Then at the last with all divisions healed, may we sing your praise with your whole creation through your Son, Jesus Christ.
Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor are yours, Almighty God forever and ever. Amen.

Bread for the World is a nationwide Christian citizens movement seeking justice for the world's hungry people by lobbying our nation's decision makers. Each year, it supports an Offering of Letters, in which members of churches and other Christian groups write letters to Congress in support of hunger-fighting legislation and place them in the offering plate, dedicating the letters to God and saying special prayers for hungry people.
